Product Description
Purple tea has grown and developed in the Nandi Hills of Kenya for over 25 years. After years of research by the Tea Research Foundation of Kenya (TRFK), 12 varieties of purple tea are grown around the globe today. These tea leaves are one of the most difficult to source and are one of the rarest teas in the world.
Purple tea delivers a new experience for tea lovers, boasting a brand new flavor and special purple color. The tea leaves are not oxidized which creates a smooth and natural taste that is high in antioxidants, flavonoids, and peptides. A particular antioxidant in purple tea is called anthocyanin, which is the same one present in purple foods such as blueberries and acai berries.
